Gabriele Cavallaro co-founded Isola Design Group in Milan in 2017, turning a single design-week exhibition into a year-round platform built around independent and emerging designers. As CEO, he has kept the format consistent while widening its geography: curated shows now run alongside Milan Design Week, Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, the London Design Festival and Dubai Design Week, giving smaller studios access to the audiences, press and buyers usually reserved for established names.
The clearest sign of that growth is Isola Space, a permanent gallery, store and events venue the group opened in Dubai’s design district — a deliberate step from pop-up exhibition to fixed address.
