Alex Dauley founded Dauley Design in 2016, working across London and Surrey on residential interiors that pair a contemporary, considered palette with an eye for craft and proportion, including the Brixton Studio Bar and Restaurant for Soho House. Since 2022 she has taken that same clarity of judgement to a wider audience as a presenter on Channel 4’s The Great Home Transformation, translating decisions usually made behind a client’s door into something a primetime audience can follow and use in their own homes.
In 2020, working with Sophie Ashby, she co-founded United in Design, a charity built to open the interior design profession to people from Black, Asian, ethnic minority and lower socio-economic backgrounds who have historically found few routes in. That combination, an established practice, a public platform and a structural effort to widen who gets to enter the industry, is what places her in this index.
