“Greg Natale has run his Sydney studio since 2001, twice named Belle Interior Designer of the Year — a bold, pattern-driven maximalism that’s made him one of Australian design’s most recognisable signatures.”

Greg Natale opened his eponymous Sydney studio in 2001, after several years at Garth Barnett Designers, HBO+EMTB and SJB, and training that ran from TAFE NSW’s Enmore Design Centre to Sydney College of the Arts and architecture at the University of Technology, Sydney. What emerged is a signature now recognised well beyond Australia: layered pattern, confident colour and a geometric discipline that reads as maximalist without losing its underlying structure.
That body of work has been recognised twice over by Belle, which named Natale Interior Designer of the Year in 2011 and 2014, and again in 2021, when Australian House & Garden gave its Room of the Year to his Walsh Bay Penthouse. Harper’s Bazaar Interiors Middle East has since named him a Design Visionary, recognition that reaches well past Australia’s design press. It is that combination of a distinct, exportable signature and sustained recognition that earns Greg Natale Design its place in the Design 100.
